Tile Trims

Tile trims give a very clean finish to any tiling project. Vroma’s trims come in a range of shapes, materials, colours and finishes which suit all types of tiling projects. A number of our trims also come with matching Corner Blocks, which give a near seamless finish and really can leave corner areas much more cleanly finished than some trims, which might be quite sharp at the end.

Tile Trims FAQs

What are tile trims?

Tile trims are used to complete the edges of a tiled area, usually corners where you would otherwise be left with an exposed edge, which is vulnerable to damage and generally gives the area an unfinished appearance.

What is the best material for tile trim?

Stainless steel and Aluminium are the most popular trim material due to their very durable nature and resistance to corrosion and scratches. It has a great mechanical strength and is quite robust, although we also have a great range of Aluminium, Brass and Copper trims as well, which provide a more pleasing aesthetic and additional colours to suit your needs.

What size do I need to buy?

You should select trims that are one size larger than the depth of your chosen tile in order to allow for the usage of adhesive. For instance, to ensure a seamless fit, we’d recommend a 12.5mm tile trim if your tile is 10mm thick.

How can I make sure I choose the right tile trims?

When it comes to choosing the right tile trims, there are a few rules of thumb to follow.

First, you should select a trim that matches the thickness of your tiles. Next choose a trim colour that matches or complements your tile colour. This will create a cohesive and harmonious look.

Lastly, consider the location of your tile edge. For example, a bathroom may require a trim that is more water-resistant, while a kitchen may require a more durable trim.

Can I paint tile trims to match my tiles?

Yes, you can paint tile trims to match your tiles and we also provide a plastic trim, which you can easily paint with a plastic compatible paint to give a very bespoke finish. However, it is important to use the correct type of paint and to prepare the surface properly before painting.

What information do you need from me to provide a quote for tile trim?

Please feel free to get in touch with us to discuss bulk ordering and Trade Discounts. If you aren’t sure which tile trim you might need, we can provide a recommendation based on your requirements.

In order to give you the most accurate product choice, we would need the dimensions of your tiling project, the type, size and colour of tiles you are using, and any specific requirements you may have.

Choosing the right tile trims is essential for creating a polished, professional finish in any tiling project — whether you’re updating a bathroom, installing a kitchen splashback, or laying floor tiles in a commercial setting. Tile trims not only add a stylish edge to your tilework but also protect exposed edges from chipping, cracking or wear. They are available in a wide range of materials, including aluminium, stainless steel, brass, and plastic, with finishes to suit any interior design – from brushed chrome and black to gold or powder-coated colours.

When selecting tile trims, it’s important to consider both the aesthetic and functional aspects: the thickness of your tile, the location (wet or dry area), and the look you’re trying to achieve. L-shape trims offer a sleek minimalist look, while quadrant or round edge trims provide a softer, curved finish that’s ideal for bathrooms and feature walls.
